Comprehensive Wound Care In The Heart of Dallas

Laurie Aten M.D., MPH/ Medical Director and Jeffrey A. Stone, D.O., M.P.H., FCCWS

Texas Specialty Hospital at Dallas is proud to announce the expansion of its wound care program now including In or Out patient Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).

This specialized medical treatment allows for faster healing of complex wounds by placing the patient inside a chamber at a pressure equivalent to 45-60 feet bellow the surface or sea level. HBOT provides 10 to 20 times more oxygen than normal air pressure allowing a concentrated method increasing the level of oxygen delivered to the tissue and expedites wound healing.

HBOT is effective in the treatment of

  •             Chronic non-healing wounds

  •             Diabetic foot wounds

  •             Bone infections

  •             Radiation soft tissue injuries

  •             Failing skin grafts and muscle flaps
